HDC is located in the mecca of Fitzroy. Regular clients often comment about the fun times enjoyed during their salon experience and the relaxing escape from the 9-5. In truth, regulars are a lot more like family than clients. One thing is for sure, at HDC no client leaves without having an amazing experience.

1983

HDC Hairdresssing was discovered in 1983 by Charlie Forte with the vision of offering cutting edge hairstyling unique to the growing cultural mecca of Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.

Today

Three decades later, the salon is universally recognised for its fun, vibrant and welcoming environment, and its unmatched professionalism and personal service.

This was my first visit to HDC, after a friend recommended it to me sometime ago. I don't know how to properly describe how rapt I was with the whole experience. Charlie is an absolute genius when it comes to cutting curly hair! I can not recommend him highly enough. Frank did a superb job with my tired blonde and colored it back to an amazing natural looking blonde. Both boys exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely be back and recommending to all my friends! Thanks guys!

Coming into HDC is like going on a mini holiday - you leave feeling relaxed, pampered and rejuvenated! The staff are fabulous, and the service is first class. Frank has conquered the impossible and achieved a perfect strawberry blonde for which I receive so many compliments. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

When I first came to HDC I was welcomed warmly and with humour. Frank was open and happy to suggest what would work best for my hair. The atmosphere in the salon is fun and friendly. I don't think I've ever received so many compliments. The staff are lovely. I've been coming to Frank for 3 years now and I always leaving feeling incredible. In that time I've gone from long to short and back again, and have total trust that Frank will work with my vague and seemingly impossible requests to make me look like a rockstar. Great hairdressers! And such a fun friendly place to visit. I was looking for a new hairdresser after moving from Sydney to Melbourne and it was tough. I tried a few places and never really felt as though I fitted those salons and then I went to HDC and I've been going here ever since. The staff are knowledgeable and are happy to suggest ideas - which is great for me! I know nothing about hair, so I rely on the experts to give me ideas.
